Chiropractor Near Herndon, VA

Hours on Route 28, the Toll Road, or the Silver Line add up in the neck and low back. Our Sterling office is about 15 minutes from downtown Herndon, close enough to fit care around the commute.

Herndon residents reach Active Lifestyle Medical in about 15 minutes. Our only office is at 20 Pidgeon Hill Dr #102, Sterling, VA 20165, a few minutes east of where Route 28 meets Route 7, and there is no Herndon location. Dr. Charles Arndt, DC combines chiropractic, physical rehab, and functional medicine, and no referral is needed: (703) 444-4141.

Herndon runs on the commute. Mornings start on Route 28, the Dulles Toll Road, or a Silver Line train out of Herndon or Innovation Center station. The workday often lands in an office park along Herndon Parkway or Sunrise Valley Drive.

The body keeps score in predictable places: a neck that stiffens after an hour at the wheel, a low back that aches on the ride home, a shoulder tired of a laptop bag. Drug-free commuter back and neck care in Sterling treats those patterns without leaning on medication.

Driving directions from Herndon

How long is the drive from downtown Herndon?

About 15 minutes. From Elden Street, Dranesville Road (Route 228) runs north to Route 7. Head west on Route 7 toward Sterling. Our office sits just north of the highway in CountrySide, off Countryside Boulevard.

Coming from the Herndon or Innovation Center Metro stations?

Plan on 15 to 20 minutes. From the Herndon station area, the Dulles Toll Road (Route 267) links west to Route 28 north, and tolls apply. From Innovation Center, Sunrise Valley Drive and Frying Pan Road reach Route 28 without the toll road.

Driving from Oak Hill or Floris?

Allow about 20 minutes, a little more at rush hour. Centreville Road and Frying Pan Road connect the 20171 neighborhoods to Route 28, and from there it is a straight run north. We stay open until 6:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays if the trip has to follow work.

About our care for Herndon, VA

Commuting strain follows a pattern. Sitting in traffic keeps the hips flexed and the head drifting forward, so the neck and low back carry the load for the whole drive. Train riders stand instead, often with a bag hanging off one shoulder.

Downtown Herndon adds a second group: runners and cyclists who log miles on the W&OD Trail before or after work. Care plans cover both, with posture and mobility work for the drivers and training-load guidance for the trail regulars.

This page covers the whole Herndon area and its 20171 neighbors: the Worldgate area off the Toll Road, the office corridor along Herndon Parkway, McNair, and the older streets around downtown. Runnymede Park and the W&OD Trail give the town its green spine.

Farther south, Frying Pan Farm Park anchors Floris. Herndon sits in Fairfax County, just across the Loudoun line from our office. For town services and events, see the Town of Herndon, or browse every town on our Sterling service map.

How do Herndon commuters fit care around the workweek?

Office hours are built with late afternoons in mind. Appointments run until 6:30 pm on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday, and until 6:00 pm on Thursday, so a visit can follow the workday instead of interrupting it. Friday visits are by appointment; call (703) 444-4141 to arrange one.

The first visit covers your commute as much as your symptoms: how long you drive or ride, how you sit, what you carry. Dr. Arndt examines the areas involved, explains his findings in plain language, and outlines a plan before any treatment. If something needs imaging or another specialist, he says so.

Questions Herndon patients ask before a first visit

How long is the drive from Herndon to your Sterling office?

About 15 minutes from downtown Herndon outside rush hour, and 15 to 20 minutes at peak. Dranesville Road (Route 228) or Route 28 (Sully Road) both lead north to Route 7 (Leesburg Pike), and our office sits just north of Route 7 in the CountrySide area of Sterling, with parking at the door.

Do you have an office in Herndon?

No. Active Lifestyle Medical has one office, at 20 Pidgeon Hill Drive, Suite 102, in Sterling, and every visit happens there with Dr. Charles Arndt, DC. Herndon is in Fairfax County and we are just over the Loudoun line, so the county changes but the drive stays short.

Can I schedule visits around a Route 28 or Silver Line commute?

In most cases. Appointments run as late as 6:30 pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, and Wednesdays and 6:00 pm on Thursdays, so a visit can fit on the way home from a Herndon office or a station lot. The later times are popular, so reserve a few days out when you can. Fridays are by appointment.

Can chiropractic care help neck and back pain from long commutes?

Often, yes. Hours of sitting in traffic keep the hips flexed and the head forward, which loads the neck and low back. Care combines chiropractic adjustments, physical rehab exercises, and simple changes to how you sit and carry things, so relief lasts beyond the next drive. Results vary, and Dr. Arndt explains what to expect after the exam.

Is the drive reasonable from Oak Hill or Floris?

Plan on about 20 minutes, a little more at rush hour. Centreville Road and Frying Pan Road connect the 20171 neighborhoods to Route 28, which runs north to Route 7 a few minutes from our office. It is a longer trip than from downtown Herndon, so late-afternoon appointments tend to work best.

Do Herndon patients need a referral?

No referral is required. Call (703) 444-4141 or book online, tell us what hurts and how long it has been going on, and we will set up an evaluation with Dr. Arndt. Chiropractic care, physical rehab, and functional medicine all start from that same first visit.
