Meet Dr. Charles Arndt, DC
One doctor, more than 35 years of root-cause care, and a practice built around keeping Sterling active.
The care at Active Lifestyle Medical goes beyond pain relief. The goal Dr. Arndt sets for every patient is a longer, more active, healthier life, and every service in the building exists to serve that goal. It starts with listening. Your first visit is a conversation and an examination, not a sales pitch, and the plan that follows is explained step by step so you always know what we are doing and why. If you want the story of how the practice came to be, read about our approach to root-cause care.
The Doctor Behind the Practice
Dr. Charles Arndt has spent his career studying why people hurt and what actually fixes it. His focus has always been wellness: correcting the underlying cause of illness and painful conditions rather than simply managing the symptoms. He has kept that focus through more than 35 years of practice in the Sterling community, updating his methods as the research evolved.
His path started early. At age 14 he earned the rank of Eagle Scout. He studied biology at Ithaca College in New York, completed a Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at UCLA, and in 1985 graduated summa cum laude from Los Angeles Chiropractic College. He later became certified in functional medicine, the training behind the lab-guided side of the practice today.
When Dr. Arndt is not in the office, he is often giving educational lectures on the causes of disease and regenerative approaches to health. His hobbies are exercise, research, and playing with his grandbabies.
How Dr. Arndt Helps Patients
His hands-on work centers on chiropractic care and spinal adjustments for spine and joint pain. When the exam calls for more, he folds in non-surgical spinal decompression for stubborn disc pain and physical therapy and rehab programs so recovery holds up over time. On the functional medicine side, he uses lab work and nutrition to support pain management, energy, and metabolic health without defaulting to another prescription.
Areas of Focus
"I am committed to better health and wellness for each patient. Having trained in the most up-to-date procedures and techniques used in healthcare today, you can be assured that your health is in good hands."

I’ve been going to Dr. Arndt since August due to chronic low back pain and a stiff neck. More than all of the hype you see in chiropractic videos online, Dr. Arndt gives actual relief without the danger of all of the dramatic cracking and popping sounds. As of mid-October I am no longer experiencing low back pain, and have improved mobility in my neck. ...
